This Post is Illegal

In which Akiva is devirginized, of the Ikea sort.

So,

I have been in Toronto for a week now. My flight left early Monday morning. I got to fly with Emery which was fun. We fell asleep on each other at one point which was cute, although I hope I didn't drool on her...I definitely snored.

When I first got there, I couldn't get a hold of my roomate, who was working, so I couldn't get into the apartment, so I crashed at Efron's family'd house for a while, which was fun. It's good to know that I had so man people offer to help me when i was freaking out. This place really starts to feel like home when I get that feeling.

So I finally made my way to my apartment and saw it for the first time, along with meeting my roomie for the first time. He seems really nice. I don't expect us to be best friends or anything, but he is a cool guy that I can be civil with and deal with. That is all I wanted anyways. We have pretty different schedules, and if this week was any indication, we really won't see that much of each other besides the weekend.

as far as the place goes I was pleasantly surprised. It is quite spacious, with a big living room and dining room area. The kitchen is a little small, and the bathroom is a little gross, but those are really my only complaints. I am even picking up free internet from neighbours. oh and speaking of neighbours, I live really close to my friends Anna and Jordie, so that should be fun.

I bumped into Anna and she was kind enough to take me to IKEA when I was looking for a desk...oh...did i mention it was my first time ever in the store. Don't get me wrong I have drooled over the catalogues for a few years now, but it was my first time at a store...or should i say country. The place is huge. Lucky for me Anna is an Ikea addict and was as excited as I was. We even went into some of the displays and pretended the kitchens or bedrooms were ours. One couple even thought we were working there. Hah...taht would be the best job ever. paid to make the Ikea rooms lived in. Just walk around the displays in your bathrobe and stuff.

Anyways...I also went down to school and checked to see what my show calls are. I am the Assistant Set Designer on "The Hostage" a fourth year acting show that is an Irish comedy set in a whore-house...hah that set should be fun. I am assisting a big professional deisgner who was nominated for two Doras this year, which are the big Toronto theatre awards. Also the director of that show is Eda Holmes, who is a big Toronto director. My other call is the Marketing and Publicity Manager for Dances 2005, a show in which the students are choreographed by five top industry choreographers. I know nothing about marketing but I am sure it will be fun and i will learn a lot. My classes this semester include Scenic Painting, Directing, Marketing, Costume design and an English elective about sex and gender. Should be a really fun semester, although the workload will be intense.

Anyways...I dont have a phone yet, but the one I am getting has UNLIMITED long distance, so you can be sure I will be calling you. For now I will enjoy this illegal internet.

Love you and miss all youwho are far away from me.
