Feeling HAAAWT!

I just got back from the bar with my good friends Sarah, Jill and Matt. We were going to go to Cowboys, but the line was pretty stupily long, so we went to the Roadhouse instead (I just realized how "hicky" this city's bars are name-wise). Anyways, it was a really fun night, although it was sad to see Jill disapear so often (hah...I know it was for job purposes, I love you).

I think one fact that made it really good, besides having really fun friends who weren't into creating drama, was the fact that I felt really attractive. Now, I know that may seem like a very egocentric thing to say, but so be it. But keep in mind that there aren't a lot times in my life where I feel really good about my looks, so this is an occasion. I have always felt that teenage akwardness seeping in me, but maybe the fact that I'm twenty had a placebo effect on me where I finally feel as though I shed that.

It definitely due in part to what I was wearing. I had skater shoes, jeans, a black button up shirt (thanks Kathleen and Krista for making me buy that), my token black baseball cap, and my sexy sexy green tie. In the car I was very self-concious about my tie, and whether or not I should wear it to the bar. Everyone in the car said they liked it, but with my friends I can't tell whether they were being sarcastic or not. Anyways, i decided to keep it on and just before we went into the bar, two girls were coming out and complimented my tie. Whether or not they meant it, it gave me a boost and I FELT attractive, even if I really didn't look it.

I was confident enough to dance with a girl I thought looked amazing, and she was quite fun. Also when Jill and Sarah left for the bathroom, two girl came immediately and didn't let me dance alone, which was nice. I have never really been the one to be aproached at a bar, so this was a bigger deal than it should have been.

So moral of the story is: how you look or dress DOES matter, but only to YOU, because if you feel as though you look attractive, you will ACT attractive, if that makes any sense. Anyways, I am intoxicated, so I should probably stop rambling.

Your HOT friend (for the time being),
