Save a horse...Ride a Cowboy

I know, I know...it has been such a long time since I last updated this thing. But wait no more, here is my long awaited return to the world of blogging. The reason it has been so long is because I have been so busy actually having fun. Yes that is right...my summer actually picked up and all that worrying and ranting was, as usual, for nothing.

So what made it pick up? Well mostly two things: Stampede and Summerstock. So this is my Stampede post. I have been waiting for good pictures, and at last my friends have uploaded enough good ones that I felt the time had come.

So Stampede was a blast. I went two days, and they have kind of blurred together in my mind, so excuse any innacuracies. First off hypnosis was a blast! I have gotten hypnotised every year for the past few, but I was never given all that much fun stuff to do. But this time I got to do a lot of fun stuff.

I got to get naked in front of like 3000 people! Hah...I was given a wig and had to be Brittany Spears back-up dancer, and then I had to take my top off, which was fun. And then I had to be a chicked laying eggs, which was apparently super funny because for the rest of the day people were walking by me and whispering to friends "Hey, its the Chicken Man!". I was a mini-celebrity for a while

Rides were fun as always. The Space Roller is my new favourite ride, although going on the Zipper with Jess, and having her pop out of her shirt is always fun as well. The best was mooching free rides off the Carnies on the last night. They let us go on lots of rides for free and sometimes twice in a row. More than that we couldn't handle. The Log Ride was fun too, especially since it was so friggin hot. We all got so wet, and i gave CJ a bruie from humping her into the front of the ride (clothes on people!...come on...she is only 16!).

But what made Stampede the most amazing was the people I went with. We bonded a lot over the good times and we really got to know each other. I met Colleen and Matt's friend Lisa, who is awesome, and got to really hang out with the Summerstock people which made my summer. Such an amazing group of people...but I will deal with that more in my next post.

Fireworks on the final night were amazing. We claimed a spot at the top of the Saddledone stairs and made a giant spoon train to watch them. They were SO friggin amazing and it looked like the moon was going explode.

Also we saw Hot Hot Heat in concert. I didn't join the mosh pit this year, but I had fun watching. There were some people launched SOOOOO high it was amazing. Anyways...all around good times were had. I hope I can come visit next year around that time.

Lots of love,

Akiva
